LIVING WORDS
Since 2015 I have been an artist in residence with Living Words, an arts and literature charity working with people living with dementia, isolated individuals and communities.
During care home residencies, I work one-to-one with residents and care staff to co-create books of their words. We also run staff workshops and create performances to share our work.
In 2019 we evolved our person-centred arts practice to work with individuals who had decided not to take their lives. This became the Living Warriors pilot project.
THE JASMINE TERRACE
In 2015, with support from the Artists International Development Fund (Arts Council/British Council) and the filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, I travelled to Pakistan to research and develop my play The Jasmine Terrace.
